Princess and the Pea quilt

A friend needed a quilt for a special two year old.  She provided some fabrics that would match the bedroom of said two year old.  I had some fabrics that I wanted to use.  And this Princess and the Pea quilt was born.

With some secrets stitched right in.  Like the pea.  And the swirly passageway right through the center.

The back was made with family photos and a special message.

Yeah for little two year old princesses.

I wonder if she eats peas?

I love it! Would you share how you did the message on the back of the quilt? I would guess it was the fabric sheets you can run through your printer? I would wonder about the longevity of this method though. Do you have any info to offer on this?!! Thanks!

ok, do you know for some reason i read "swirly passageway" as "swirly message" and spent like ten minutes trying to "read" it and then wondering how i was going to ask you what it said without insulting your abilities?

geez, have another cup of coffee, liss.

really love the quilt though. but you knew that. :-) but please stop trying to send me secret FMQ messages before 9am..

It makes me deliriously happy that you put that pea there, even if I don't eat peas.
