Chefs

Boo, my oldest who will soon be 13, loves to bake.  While I mowed the grass the other day she made a double batch of zucchini bread.  Totally unassisted.  Without my knowledge.  And she even washed all the dishes when she was done.

Boo-ya!

Then over the weekend she made a double batch of white chocolate and macadamia nut cookies.  Again, completely by herself.

And if that wasn't enough, she also whipped up a loaf of banana bread because she saw the bananas were overly ripe.

Licious, my 10 year old, got in on the action and made dinner last night.  She wanted to use up some of the garden pickin's so she made a squash, pepper, tomato, basil and cheese fritata.  And then used the small bowl of strawberries and blueberries from the garden in pancakes.

Yum.  I'm a lucky mom.

Awesome! It's great that they have such an interest in cooking from scratch. I love that they looked around to see what was available and incorporated that into their cooking projects. Way to go, girls!
