That is exactly the kind of painting my husband wants me to find. There is this artist in Salt Lake that takes paintings like this and adds zombies and other things to them. My husband wants a zombie one so bad :)

You are so good at thrifting and repurposing, so I am excited to see what you do with this!

You hear about the lady who purchased a box of trinkets in WV for $7...found a small painting in the box and stashed it away and just recently took it to an appraiser and it's an original Renoir valued at over $75,000.00?:)
She was going to scrap it for the frame because she didn't know what she had!!

Dana,

I wonder what you will come up with! :)

Thanks for your replies to my comments. I know how you busy you are, so it's really special that you take time for such things, too.

I really enjoy visiting your blog and seeing what you and yours have been up to. Have you ever thought of adding the option to follow your blog via email? That way I would really never miss a post. :)

Of course, I would love to welcome you back to my blog. Currently, I even have two giveaways -- details are on the left sidebar of my blog.

Sunny greetings from Munich,
Birgit

I can't wait to see what you do with this. I bought 2 similar paintings actually done by a local person at a garage sale. I sprayed them both with a clear coat and can't believe how much it brightened them up, but then I pushed them under the bed not sure what to do with them next. Sad, huh?

We draw names at Christmas. One year my eccentric cousin got my dad a huge and ugly framed painting as a joke (gift card attached to the back). The next year my dad happened to draw that cousin's name so out came the jigsaw and that painting became a puzzle! Thanks for bringing up that memory! Can't wait to see what YOU are doing!
