I picked up a quilt from The Back Porch Quilters and gasped.  Literally sucked in my breath and gasped.

Ordinary quilt turned stunner!

This is the back.  Do you see that wavy goodness?

Be still my beatin' heart.

Lucky for you, The Back Porch Quilters (husband and wife Russ and Rhonda) are offering 20% off edge-to-edge quilting (excludes custom quilting) from now until February 28, 2013.  Feel free browse their website but then either email Russ at russrhonda@msn.com or call Rhonda at 828-557-8059 to talk about getting your quilt into their hands.  You won't be sorry.

Holy crap. Yeah, that's amazing. SO gorgeous. The quilting really does change the whole look of the quilt -- or it can anyway. You've got yourself a beauty there. Love. It.

Oh my. Stunning just barely covers it. What a lovely design on a grand quilt.

I'll keep them in mind if I ever get to that stage. ;)

Hmmm, I'm farther east in the 336 area code. I wonder if I can ship them something?!?!

Beautiful quilt and quilting!! Wonder what the quilt pattern is? I didn't see it in their selections. I have one I might just need to send their way!

Hi Dana. I just stumbled onto your blog via pinterest and I am thrilled!! I was actually looking at my VERY FIRST COMPLETED QUILT TOP in the middle of the night last night (i know, i know) thinking about how to finish it. And then this morning, I sit down with my coffee and my i phone and i find your post on binding and I'm like oh my goodness!!! This is so detailed (AND FUNNY)and helpful and amazing and so many details and pictures (i'm the kind who thinks the more i know the better), I think I might actually be able to do this thing. BUT, I still have to quilt it. And you have a lot of posts about quilting! I'm wondering if you have a post about the quilting process? I don't have a walking foot, and I live abroad, so what I have is what I have to work with, so to speak :). Can I quilt on my machine without a walking foot? Should I just try to hand quilt it (shudder)? How do you decide how you are going to quilt something (design-wise)? Since it's my first quilt I really want to finish it myself, not ship it off to someone else, and my machine has been out of service for a year and is freshly repaired and humming like a bunch of bees, ready for some work! I read another blog about using a sticky spray instead of basting, which sounds awesome, but I don't know if I can find that here either. Would you mind sending me to your posts about the quilting/basting part of the process? Your blog is amazing and so so many beautiful quilts, oh my! I don't see a place to choose to follow comment follow up's and I don't want to leave my email on a public blog, so hopefully I can find this post again to check back! thank you!
