Making

Razor and I picked maybe 1/4th of the grapes on the vine and ended up with 23 pounds of grapes.  That made lots of jelly and three gallons of juice for freezing.  Homemade grape juice in the dead of winter tastes divine.

That sounds amazing! Details please. I'm filing this back with my dream to one day live where grapes grow wild. :)

Oh this makes me homesick for my childhood when the kitchen would be filled with jars and jars of grape jelly. Sigh.

Sounds absolutely delish! What a treat to have in the pantry and freezer. :)

There is nothing better than "real" grape juice! I wish I lived closer so I could mooch off your vines. ;) Today I am canning peaches - on the hottest day of the summer here, of course.

We grew up with home pressed apple juice in the freezer. But grape sounds more exciting!

Looks yummy so jealous. I have lots access to grapes. Used to do tons of jelly and juice each year.

isn't it fantastic to prepare and put up your own home grown food?

Mmmmmmm.....

Makes me so hungry to think of it on warm waffles with melted butter waiting for the jelly to land....

Argh....sneaking in to borrow a few jars..I'll return them...empty? :)

Ok so jelly is jam, right and I've never had grape juice - spring, summer, autumn or winter but it sounds delicious.

Just the thought of living somewhere where one can grow and pick grapes and make their own grape jelly/jam gives me goosebumps! I will be moving to such a place this winter!!!

I just love seeing full canning jars. Your grape goodies sound wonderful! I'm hoping to get quite a few grapes and berries planted around here next spring. I wish we were neighbors! You probably get that a lot, don't you?

That looks sooooo good. I can't even conceive of having grapes in the backyard but then I'm just so far north.

You take such great photos, Dana... I still have that cherry on a mini-jar as my desktop background. :-)
