Guess which I'm keeping

I visit our local thrift shops fairly often.  And lots of cute stuff finds it's way home with me.  Like the tin child's ironing board. Do I need it?  No. But I have this compulsion to buy things that I know nobody will love like I do.

Tell me you do that too?

Rescue things from the thrift shop that you know need saving?

Just this week I slammed on my brakes (don't worry.  it was on a back country road) just as I passed the metal salvage yard because I saw the most adorable vintage 1950's kitchen stove.  And it desperately needed rescuing. Upon inquiry I discovered it was already set aside for some other fortunate soul.  The fact that the special-ness of the stove was recognized and saved for someone that would appreciate it gave me just about as much peace as if I'd taken it home myself.  Almost.

Anyway.

The vintage toy ironing board and fruit printed glass pitcher recently came home with me.  But I'm not keeping them both. Which do you think I'm keeping?

I think that the pitcher could be used...but that vintage ironing board is sew cute!!!
I remember "ironing" on mine when I was little.

The ironing board. It would make great sewing room decor!

If it was me having to choose one to keep... it'd be the ironing board. My husband almost daily bemoans the fact that I have {in his words} "too many jars, etc." But some how I usually work in just one more.

The pitcher because it looks so awesome sitting on your window sill. :)

Ironing board. The pitcher is just a great find and a great gift. The ironing board needs special eyes to see its awesomeness.

Ironing board...I hope ;)

I'd keep the pitcher, but I'm betting you'll keep the ironing board...for all the reasons already stated. :)

I'm guessing you'll keep the ironing board. I would keep the pitcher, because I have an obsession for old dishes. Once went on a hunt for an old formula or milk pitcher in the shape of a pregnant belly. Liked it because it had measurements on there for how much you put in the bottle. Why?

Hmmm.....hard one to guess.

Both!

Oh, wait, only one?

The ironing board?

The pitcher?

Giving up one would be hard and I hope you show which one you kept.

Lovely of you saving things. Glad I'm not the only one.

I think you will be keeping the pitcher. You can at least use it :-)

I love to rescue unloved things, too. To bad my husband calls it all "junk"! :( I'm hoping you'll keep the pitcher...

My husband calls it all "clutter" and I am limited on what I can rescue AND how good I am at convincing him it's worth it. I think you'll keep the ironing board and hang it on the sewing room wall as art... that's what I'd do with it. BUT, I would also keep the pitcher because it reminds me of spring and we desperately need that long about February in Ohio!!

I'd keep both too! But if 'push came to shove' I'd opt for the jug- useful and small enough to justify keeping! Not sure how much use I'd have for a miniature metal ironing board!

Well, if you really can't keep both, I say the ironing board. It is so cute and would be difficult to find again in that great of shape.!
