Have you seen the new line of fabrics for Art Gallery by Katarina Roccella? It's called Skopelos and it's light, breezy and beautiful.
The line is inspired by Katarina's family trips to the Greek island of Skopelos and I wanted to make something that seemed island worthy. I mean, when I think of Greece I imagine white, sun bleached buildings with ocean breezes making light and airy window curtains dance. This quilt evokes that for me.
I used 10 prints and two coordinating solids from the line. Using a 1/2 yard of each, I cut 288 5"x5" squares and sewed them in a totally random fashion. I sewed 19 rows of 15 squares each leaving me with a twin sized quilt measuring 67.5"x 85.5". Which, in case you want to make one just like it, you only need an additional 1/2 yard of fabric for the binding.
This fabric is gorgeous and it's worth a minute to check out all the other things people are making with it on the blog tour.

This looks like a really really pretty line at fabric
I've never made a patchwork quilt before. You've inspired me to just dig in to my Anna Maria Horner stash and chop it up:) Your quilt shows the fabrics beautifully!
