Weekend snapshot

This past weekend had us road tripping. I've been traveling too much a lot these past few weeks and, honestly, was not looking forward to doing it again. The girls had awesome citizen science projects to present in one location while Razor had his first Spartan Race in another. The girls and I headed out early Saturday morning and, as usual with my begrudging foul attitude, I should have trusted the trip would be worth it. Because it so totally was. The grounds at the Arboretum had me from the very second I opened the car door. And then there are my daughters. At ages 15 and 13 they are remarkable young women. Young women to be remarked upon indeed. Talking to scientist about their own research and data they collected for them. Standing tall, shoulders back, chin up and full of confidence. So good. So, very, very good.

And Razor? He's the one at the farthest left in the back row. Standing tall, shoulders back, chin up and full of confidence. Caked with mud and doing what he loves.

I'm a lucky gal.

Understatement.

These photos made me feel relaxed, a rare thing in law school, as I'm sure you know. Thanks for sharing them.

I love those unexpected, lovely, pay attention sort of days. Your photos are gorgeous. They always are.

Blooming trees create happy in me. The ornamental pear trees are blooming here. Planted some violas today..... now I have a Happy :) front porch! Tulips will soon be blooming ... Doesn't take a lot to make me happy.

Fun watching children and husbands grow up into something good. :)
