A million things. Puttering instead.

My husband and I took a trip. A beautiful, celebratory trip. The girls stayed home with Nana and Papa at the helm. We arrived back in the early, early morning hours. I hugged each of them. The kind of hug that has no rushed end. The kind where you inhale the very essence of them as you pull them close. Closer. They were good. We were good. And we were all that much better being together again. The dark sky creeped towards sunlight and the busy-ness of our everyday began.

School. Rehearsal. Soccer. Homework. Grocery store. Dinner. Laundry. Unpack. Tend to this and tend to that. You know that dance, right?

And though we've been home for several days now, I'm not ready to buckle down and get stuff done. It's not a vacation mindset. Nope. Cause I'm not still there in my head. Rather, I'm just processing it all I suppose.

Besides, I'd rather tend to the blooms both inside and out.

And hug more without rushing. Yes, more of that.

Sounds like the perfect thing to do. Slow and steady and let things happen as they please.

Hope you had a super time on your trip! I am pretty sure you did. : )

Time to smell the roses . . . or wherever those flowers are!
