Who knew ducks drool?

Strange things happen at Easter time. Astonishing, bizarre, curious, erratic, idiosyncratic, peculiar, perplexing, uncanny, and weird things happen at Easter time. Don't believe me?

For starters, ducks drool. If it may please the court, Your Honor, I'd like to have this photograph marked as exhibit A.

I happen to have photographic evidence of other unexplainable Easter happenings as well. Your Honor, may I present exhibit B. It contains proof that even though your child begs and begs and begs to hold a duckling, she will try to hand it back nearly as soon as you give it to her.

Then to this whole Easter egg hunt phenomenon.

Children fly around the yard in search of plastic eggs containing candy. They can run so fast and squeal so loudly and with such a high pitch you would think they were being chased by the wily Easter bunny himself. I present exhibits C, D and E.

I rest my case.

Dana, Looks like you all had a great day. That is a great shot of the drooling duck. Its funny how sometimes the most arbritrary traditions can lead to the best memories. Hopefully this day will be in that category for you! Hope you had a nice Easter! Now I have to peek around so I can listen to the rest of this song lol. Love Stacy

Now that's what I call Easter, with real chicks and real egg hunt in light clothing and not ski boots and coats and rain.... It was too cold here for it and in any case my kids are too old!!!

happy easter!!!

You may have had some strange happenings there, but we woke up to snow and near blizzard like conditions here in St. Louis on Easter Sunday! CRAZY!!! On the way to church Maddie was singing Christmas songs. Fa La La La La La La La La!

Thank you so much for your comment! I linked you on mine. I am new to blogging ... let me know if you would rather me take your link down.

I just changed my title a bit to make it a bit more encompassing.

i have total "chicken skin" i was surprised to hear IZ come blasting out of my speakers. i forget sometimes some of you more professient (sp?) bloggers have sound on you sites...anyway...this cd was my fav of his. my boys thought he wrote this song...they were very surprised that it was a major hit so very long ago...ya know how they rework old songs, like a punk band like the "flogging mollys" do a beatle song and the kids think it is theirs and are so surprised when an older person knows the words. i never saw a duck drool before.

My kids are now grown. Though I celebrate the remembrance of my Savior on Resurrection Sunday, when Easter rolls around, it always reminds me of when my kids were small. The memories of them dressed in their adorable Easter finery, baskets in hand, running across green grass in search of colorful eggs, are memories I treasure.

I love the duck pic! :-)

Those girls look so serious about their egg searching. We had to skip the egg hunt this year - don't want the candy! It looks like your girls had a great time though!
