Wouldn't it be funny if every word in every post title began with the letter B. NO?? ::Blink:: ::Blink:: Clearly, you don't get me.
These blueberry bushes have been a real labor of love. They have been dug up from my parents' house, transported here, potted up and painstakingly tended to for a year, then transplanted outside. Last year was their first year in the ground and wouldn't you know that a mid-April freeze destroyed all hopes of fruit.
There was a freeze last week but we had each bush covered and carefully protected. Our peach trees weathered the freeze fine too. I can almost taste the blueberry pies right now. Peach pies. Blueberry ice cream. Oh, I could go on and on. And maybe I will. . . blueberry jam . . . blueberry pancakes . . . peach jam . . . blueberry muffins . . ..

How exciting! I love fresh blueberries! I wish I had a green thumb to grow them. So lucky!
And Blueberry Buckle...love blueberries...can't grow them, but have a great farm near hear where I can pick them. Can't wait till late June and fill the freezer! I envy you with your own bushes!!!
we bought four blueberry bushes last year, they were from northern minnisota, so i didnt do anything speacial to them...they are under alot of snow (go to my blog for latest dumping we had yesterday/lastnight/today)...we tend to stay out of that area of yard since we have no idea where the bushes are buried under the snow. with the snow melting i was hoping for a peek but that will be a little delayed now. we have "the" raspberry patch in the area and i made lots of jam plus i still have several quarts frozen to do whatever with...no raspberries or blueberries on kauai i can tell you that. :-)
Mmmmmmmmmm ... sounds teriffic to me here in snowy Michigan!

Hugs Mary.
Yumm-o. I'm glad you took the time to tend to the tender bushes. I grew up with wild blueberries in the back yard. Have fun with them!
mmmmmmm yummy!
To see those buds is just so sweet. I just had blueberry leaf vinegar on my salad tonight . . . ::sigh::
I think you should be looking for a 12 step program for alliteration addiction...bwahaha!
Mmmmm - blueberry pie. I'm drooling from the other side of the planet!!
Sounds wonderful! And with all the love and care you have put into those blueberry-bushes you absolutely derserve to have them be overflowing with berries!
Mmmm....I love anything blueberry... Yum!
Mmmmm - I love blueberries... we had 4 bushes at our old house that I planted and enjoyed... but we didn't dig them up and bring them here - I SOOO wish we had! I think this year will be a good one for blueberries!
How about some Blueberry Peach Cobbler? We don't have any blueberry bushes at home, but there is a family farm on the other side of town that grows them. Can't wait to go picking!
I can't wait either! All mine got froze too. I had 3 blueberries make it-and I made sure I ate them all.
I wish I (or someone I knew) had a blueberry bush! I love them mixed with my other fruit, but they're so expensive at the grocery store.
