I love the string blocks, I can't wait till I can work on mine. And your chairs are awesome! My Mom has a couple of chairs like that and she never uses them, I should steal them from her. Looks like a great weekend!

Very pretty! Every time I see someone else's string blocks I'm more determined to make my own.
Our "bounty" last week was 4 kg of blueberries. Hope you enjoy yours :)

Love the string blocks - the colors are lovely. What kind of melon is that with a yellow inside?

Great pics! Don't you just love 'everyday' photo-ops?

I've been baking zucchini bread all weekend long. If you lived closer I would bring you a loaf or two. Your chairs look great by the way, and did you make that darling little table in the middle?

Yellow melon. I am jealous. Had one last year, haven't found another.

I can almost smell the summer! [sigh] but spring is coming here, the apricot tree buds are straining to burst this morning.

Never seen a yellow melon before! Why do they change fruits and vegies anyway?

Love those squares up top. That is going to be something stunning!!

summer looks pretty good at your house.

I took a lot of naps this weekend. That was pretty bountiful for me!

I worked on my quilt blocks too. I wasn't a total lazybum all weekend. :)

I love your string pieced blocks! I always love the look of those quilts. And your wagon stash full of goodies is gorgeous. We spent the weekend with lots of school shopping for my nieces and playing in grandma's backyard.

aren't strings blocks A-W-E-S-O-M-E! So little brain power needed... Mindless sewing I call it ;) and then when you are done "Wa-la!" a beautiful quilt ;)

Dana, will you be using a sashing or just joinging them together?

Love from Texas! ~bonnie

You ARE a fabulous photographer. Liz just did some sweet string blocks, now you. Stop it, girls! You're making me want to drop everything and quilt.

Mine was not nearly as bountiful!
What will you do with the sunflower heads? Hang them to dry for the birds or eat them yourselves?

Are you canning some of those tomatoes to enjoy come winter?

Well at least I have a bumper crop of basil to make up some pesto for the cold months :0) since I will not be eating it with my fresh tomatoes!

My husband and I did get out and re-blacktop driveway together :0).

Happy Sewing
