A bunch o' stuff

I have a bunch of random stuff to share here today. Maybe bullet points are in order.

- Round 4 of the Old Red Barn Co. quilt along on Flickr is kicking off. Heidi has taken the helm this time and by the fabric requirements and cutting instructions already posted, it is sure to be a great one.

- The photos in this post are the fabrics that I have chosen for this quilt along round. I've been saving them for something special and I think this is it.

- Speaking of the Flickr group, we are almost to 1,000 members quilting along. Hot diggety dog! That is alot of us quilting along and offering support. I visit that place dozens of times a day to look at the latest photos in the photo pool and give and receive support from quilters across the globe. You should totally check it out.

- This post marks my 500th. 500? 500? How did that happen? I will be putting together a giveaway to celebrate so keep a look out. I'll shoot for Thursday.

- I ordered a birthday cake for a birthday slumber party that will take place at our house this weekend. (Note to self: Locate and safeguard noise reduction headphones. STAT!)

Let me repeat. . . a birthday cake for a birthday party. Last night at dinner we were talking about it and Razor asked, "What does it say on the cake?"

::blink:: ::blink::

I said, "Happy Retirement Marjory!"

He said, "No really. What does it say?"

I said, "Congratulations On Your successful Erectile Dysfunction Surgery Frank!"

- I crack myself up.

-dana

P.S. Sorry I said erectile dysfunction. It will never happen again.

Let me guess:
After you said it, they just looked at you with this blank stare while the crickets chirped, right?
'Cause that's what happens a lot around my house.
But *I* have fun 'cause I CRACK myself UP!

whatever. *i'm* havin' fun.

Not only is your blog a fun place to come for stand-up comedy, but the comments from the peanut gallery cracks me up as well. I wonder how many snorted their coffee, tea, Mt. Dew, etc. Glad I didn't have food near my computer today.

Congrats on 500! I love your quilt fabrics, it will make a very pretty quilt. And you crack me up, My husband and I always laugh at the erectile dysfunction commercials, I especially love the one where the old guy is talking about it at the gym with the young girl working out in the background.
Like if you take this medicine, you will get this hot girl :)

Good Luck with the slumber party!

Having avoided spitting all over my computer or snorting my Fresca, I was musing over the post and all the hilarious comments and I'll be darned if I didn't snort my Fresca in the kitchen. Ratz.
Thanks for the great uplift for the day.

Thank you and congrats to you Dana for your 500th and for connecting so many of us with the Quilt-Along group!

(I can so relate to the birthday cake question. I LOVE my wonderful husband, but this is the kind of conversation we have WAY too often, though I've never worked ED into my come back!!) :D

500 posts! amazing. Your blog is always a must read!! How do all these people have time for another quilt-along. Sadly for me I haven't finished my 9-patch one yet! Might be something to do with that 7 month old baby of mine :)

LOL I love all your fabric choices! Looks like it's gonna be a great quilt!

You crack us up too! Thanks for sharing!

Sadly, I'm still "working" (more like staring wistfully at cut material) on my first quilt from the first quilt-along. When I get it back out can I update my Flickr with the group? (I did join.) Or would that be too dated?

congrats on 500!

i don't know how anyone could suffer from ED with all the pornographic fabric around here ;-) sorry i said pornographic. it will probably happen again.

i could EAT that houndstooth fabric. and i keep peering at the yellows to see them better like a dirty old man trying to see up a skirt in a magazine photo... maybe if i just tilt my screen a little more.....

you crack me up too.
