Mindless rambling . . .

-- My kids are on their third snow day. In a row. Giving us a five day weekend.

-- I've had a cluster of migraine headaches. I'm three for the last three days. Ugly ones I might add.

-- I've cut the pieces for my next quilt. I'm following this tutorial.

-- Some exciting things are happening over on the Old Red Barn Co. Quilt Along flickr group. We are making a quilt or two to donate to Team Tiara to race money to fight breast cancer. Yeah!

-- And, I will start a pinwheel quilt along come mid to late February. I'm working on getting some good stuff to give away too.

-- The girls got there ears pierced about 3 weeks ago. We spend alot of time in front of the mirror admiring them. And twisting them. And cleaning them.

-- We are still on our crafting kick and made these little gnome like dolls today. Lucky for me, they have promised they can live on my sewing table when not being played with.

So sorry to hear about the headaches and I hope they go away really soon. I have had the sinus headache for a couple of days too, not as bad as what you have, but not fun either.

Enjoy the snow, the snow days, crafting, and extra time with your girls. The gnomes are precious!

Five day weekend! Hope the headaches improve. Years ago I had daily migraines, they seem to never go away. I was able to break the cycle, and now take Frova, if I get one. It has the fewest side-effects of anything I've tried.

I made a quilt from that tutorial. It looks fantastic. You'll enjoy working on it.

I love the little gnomes!

Will the kids have to make up the snow days at the end of the year?

Sorry about the headaches. I take a daily combination of topomax and amitriptilyne and then imitrix and toradol when I have them. Good luck.

Oh, Dana! Five days and headaches! Not fair. I hope that you feel better soon. I swear, soon we will have warmer temps. It's brutal, isn't it? Love the sweet fairy children, though.

A five day weekend sounds good, but the headaches bad. I liked that quilt too, but haven't done it yet. There are so many possibilities at the moment of good things to start!!

Migraines are yucky Dana - take it easy and just listen to your body. Remember to drink lots of water too!

Such cute little gnomes! If you have to have more snow days, at least it's with kiddos who can be busy with crafts.

Hope the migraines cease and desist as of NOW!

Oh Dana I'm sorry! Why do migraines and snowdays have to be on the same days??
That's just not fair!

A pinwheel quilt along?? That sounds like fun!

Hi Dana, sorry about the migraines, my kids are on their 6th snow day in two weeks, which coming after Christmas has somewhat thrown my sewing plans out!! I can't imagine that and migraines you poor thing. Looking forward to the quilt along, my first with you. Love the gnomes.

so sorry about the migraines. my mom gets them and i know how awful they are. hoping you break the cycle soon. checked the link to that quilt and cannot WAIT to see your results. i am just fascinated by all this great quiltyness... and curves? so cool. i FINALLY decided to order turning twenty for ellie's quilts (thanks for the suggestion), since i think my first time around i'd like a pattern so i don't waste any of that perfect material.

The gnomes are adorable! I can not wait for your next quilt a long! The pinwheels are FABULOUS! You are the reason my family has been getting quilts as gifts this past year! Your last quilt along motivated me and made me create my first larger than a baby quilt quilt! Thank you so much! You might want to check out my latest post for an earring holder (since your girls are newly pierced). Gina made one right along with me. Super fun, functional crafty project with quick results!

Hi Dana,
So sorry about the headaches ... there's really nothing worse. It might make you feel a little better to know that I've stopped by to offer a BIG, HEARTY, THANK-YOU! Sometime in November I asked you about machine quilters and you directed me to Rhonda at Back Porch Quilters. Not only did she do a great job on my first large quilt she also managed to get it to me in time to take to Madagascar, Africa as a gift for my brother who lives there. There's a photo on my flickr site if you are curious http://www.flickr.com/photos/unfinishedobject/4262790581/ THANKS AGAIN!
