Waving the white flag

Have I mentioned that in addition to all the other end of the school year busy-ness that ensues in our house that both girls are in a stage production right now?  Opening night is the 22nd so to say that Princess & the Pea has consumed our lives is an understatement.

But we're making it.

And I'm even keeping up on my Around the Bend & Across the Pond quilting bee quilts.

Thankfully my Dad is out of the hospital as of this past Tuesday.

::big sigh of relief::

I'm ready to surrender to the month of May. I'm done. I quit. I am officially waving my white flag.

I am glad your Dad is out of the hospital, that is no fun.
Your rows you added to those two quilts are so fun!

Sorry to hear your Dad was not feeling well. So glad he is out of the hospital. That will mess your nerves up for sure.

May has been an out of sorts month here also. I'm glad to see it go soon. Here's to better days ahead! :)

So glad to hear he will be out of the hospital soon. Our June is looking like your May; I don't like how busy the end of the school year needs to be.

Hang in there!

I always hate April and May. The end of school always kicks my trash. But you don't get to quit. You're the mama. Hang in there, lady. You can do it! Just a few more weeks. So glad your dad is out of the hospital! Such a relief.

Sew, oops, so very glad your Dad is out of the hospital and feeling better.

About ready to wave that white flag with you. This month, although not busy, has bitten me in the backside more than I wanted.

Here's to a wonderful opening night that sails smoothly to the end of the run.

Oh, those blocks...be still my heart. ...sneaks quietly in to borrow them....Oops, got caught. ;)

Very good news to hear that your Dad is home! Sounds like you've had a lot on your plate? Is the stage production part of the Missoula Children's Theatre? Our kids took part in that for years. We drove over an hour one way every day that week, but it was so worth it! Amazing how they can pull that together in a week.

Don't give up just yet Dana. You are so good at running things and keeping the rest of us organized we would be lost without you. The quilts for your group of Around the Bend are coming together nicely too. It's so amazing to me to see all of these quilts and the touches each person adds.

Hang in there! Just be thankful you don't have Christmas thrown into the mix as well as we do when our school year finishes at the beginning of summer in December!!!!!!

Glad to hear your dad is going better.

Also, glad that you are raising those young women with a healthy appreciation for the arts and the theatre. :-) (Drama teacher - had to say it.)

PS - is that strawberries and rhubarb? A favourite of mine...

I, too, have a love/hate relationship with the end of the school year. The projects, the melt downs, the concerts, awards ceremonies. My mantra has been "It will all be OK." Take one day at a time and enjoy.
