It's sprung

It's sprung in our neck of the woods. And it feels really good to be outside around 4pm and feel the warm sun on my face. Green is exploding from the earth and the Peepers are singing each morning as we head out the door. Still in the dark but not as dark as just a few weeks ago. We planted lettuce, Swiss chard, radish and carrots. Still eating the kale planted in the greenhouse that we've eaten all winter. The wild grape hyacinths are blooming. As is the forsythia. We weeded the strawberry patch and this year should be a very good crop of berries. The blueberry bushes are loaded with buds and even though I don't look forward to covering the rows with sheets when a frost threatens, I know that in July I will be so glad that we did. Soccer practice. Play practice. Clogging practice.

Go, go, go.

I'd rather sit among the flowers and feel the warm sun on my face.

Have patience.... spring will come :) Tulips are sprouting their wings here. They have been bunny proofed. I planted some new bulbs so hoping they do well. I have not ever started seeds but I can almost taste the tomatoes as I read the words Amish Paste. We had a bumper crop of potatoes last year.... not so good on the tomatoes :( DARN DEER! Do you keep your seedlings in your green house until ready to plant? I am a bit jealous of something green growing all winter in your greenhouse. Thinking about planting some kale this year. Thanks for sharing all of your spring lovelies. It is cold, dreary, and blustery here today.
Not my kind of day.

Wow, how lucky you are to have so many wonderful signs of spring! We just got 6-1/2" of snow yesterday morning. Can't wait for some signs, some green and warm sun around here too. Enjoy!

Warm sun is the best! The few days it has decided to show up have been great. There wasn't much going on in my yard. The daffodils bloomed and are now on their way out. I was worried that my irises wouldn't bloom this year, but they just started and they are a welcome sight. My husband is eager to plant the garden, hopefully with good results this year. Yea Spring!!
